Terms and Conditions

• Tours must be booked at least two hours in advance.

  1. Please arrive at least 10 minutes in advance of scheduled meeting times to ensure we can start on time.

  2. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult guardian.

  3. Proof of payment receipts available if requested in advance.

  4. Tour prices are not inclusive of Tax Invoices, which if required cost 15% of the total cost of the tour.

  5. Public and Private Tour Payments must be made in Chinese Renminbi at the end of the tour.

  6. If agreed in advance, Select Tours can also be paid for via bank transfer within 10 days of the tour’s completion.

  7. Guests who take part in Newman Tours do so at their own risk.

Tour Types

  1. Private Ghost Tours (2 hours) for your group only can start at any time you like but require a minimum of 3 adult guests (or the financial equivalent thereof).

  1. Select Ghost Tours (2.5 hours) are led by Newman Tours’ most senior guides, and guarantee the provision of an iPad to enhance the content of your tour. They can start at any time you want, and feature exclusive content described in italics in the Tour Schedule below. Select Tours require a minimum of 3 adult guests (or the financial equivalent thereof).

  1. The Standard Meeting Point for Public, Private & Select Ghost Tours is outside exit 1 of Jing'an Temple Metro Station (line 2), on the corner of Huashan Road and West Nanjing Road (静安寺地铁站一号出口, 华山路四十号, 靠近南京西路).

Meet outside exit one of Jingan Temple Metro Station (lines 2 & 7), on the corner of Huashan Road and West Nanjing Road (静安寺地铁站一号出口, 华山路四十号, 靠近南京西路).
