Who We Are

Newman Tours, which has been operating in China for over 5 years, provides cross cultural training and multi-national team building sessions as well as guided tours. We now provide cross cultural training in the UK as well as China. This includes both general cross cultural training for businesses and individuals, including the specialist area of retailing to Chinese customers.

Daniel Newman, who has an MPhil in Chinese Studies from Cambridge University and has lived and worked in China for over 10 years, leads our team of experienced and skilled cross cultural trainers. Working with both Western and Chinese advisers, he has developed a range of cross cultural training courses to meet your particular requirements.

Cross Cultural Training: Retailing to Chinese Customers

An opportunity and a challenge  Retailing successfully to Chinese customers and clients requires finding the right strategy and careful   training of managers and staff at all levels. The number of Chinese visiting London is increasing   rapidly; they like shopping and are usually high spenders; but they have different cultures and   backgrounds than other customers. They can be very easy to sell to, and very difficult as well, often   without any immediately obvious reason. The Chinese therefore present wonderful opportunities for   retailers, but also many challenges. Getting it right is not easy. We can help.
